We all face difficulties in our lives. As we move through each day, we may encounter hazards, barriers, or self-defeating behaviors. As I have experienced these difficulties, I have learned to use Transformation™ essential oil blend with self-talk and affirmation to help me. By following a few easy steps with Transformation, I can gain support, stay calm, focus, get centered, and break through emotional barriers to help me see, feel, and accept myself for who I am. Here are the steps you can use with Transformation to transition your life for the better:

Relax and stay calm—Apply Transformation over the liver area to assist in breaking down negative thinking. The first time I applied Transformation over my liver, I instantly felt my body start to calm down and relax.*
Get centered and focus—Apply Transformation on your shoulders and feel your thoughts start to change. I feel my whole body begin to lighten. I feel more courage to start to see the difference I make in my life. I feel more centered and focused on my body, mind, and soul and am better able to allow myself to listen to my inner voice and start setting goals for self-improvement.*
Break through negative emotional barriers—Put some drops of Transformation on your head and also smell the oil from the bottle. Take a few deep breaths and keep breathing in the oil until your body is ready to move into a new space that will allow you to let go of negative emotions and self-defeating behaviors.*
Believe in yourself—Whenever I feel I’m struggling, I inhale Transformation and place a few drops over the back of my neck. I allow my body to transform into a new and positive me and increase my self-belief.*
Throughout the years I was sometimes shocked at the negativity I was caught up in. Transformation oil blend was so helpful in overcoming this. I learned to relax, stay calm, become centered and focused, break through negative emotional barriers, believe in myself even more, and transform my life into a more positive and happy one.*

Peace be with you,

 Want Adrenal Balance?

www.Self-HealthEssentials.com

As we all know it is what we do 80% of the time that gives us the results we seek or don’t seek in our lives. The 80/20 rule is probably pretty accurate.

So having said that the following pointers are just that…guidelines for the 80% part of our lives. I believe one reason we might experience adrenal burnout is because we want to do it all NOW. So as I share this list with you know you can not do it ALL now. Your body will so appreciate you slowly adding one or two of these lifestyle shifts a week or even a month. Allow them to become your habit before you add more.

Please make this a gentle, kind process for yourself and your body. This is truly about low-stress. If any of these create more stress for you, hold off on adding them to your life. Remember…make small action steps for they truly do add up exponentially.

Here we go. We will begin with the beneficial do’s:
  • Be in bed before 10:00 pm and sleep in until 9:00 am whenever possible.
  • Adrenals love breakfast and prefer it be eaten before 10:00 am consistently.
  • Increase your whole, organic vegetable and fruit consumption making them your new best friends.
  • Try adding a glass of water in the morning with 1/4 tsp of good salt (salt that is air dried and from the sea) stirring until it is completely dissolved. If you have an aversion to this much salt adjust according to taste. Ziquin offers a sea based liquid mineral called Nanomeds that I enjoy in my water
  • Laugh several times a day enjoying your return to adrenal balance.
  • Eliminate the things in your life that take away your energy.
  • Begin to believe in your ability to facilitate recovery.
  • By keeping a food diary or journal track which foods are energy robbers.
  • Each day do something that pleases you and makes you smile.
  • Take your nutritional supplements everyday.
  • Eat an abundance of whole foods or foods that can be eaten the way Nature grows them.
  • Use your mind as the positive healing tool that it is.
  • Choo choo choo choo your food well.
  • Laugh each day as you make whatever lifestyle changes you need to make each day.
  • Always have breakfast.
  • Create low-stress choices for yourself in every potentially stressful situation then act on them.
  • Allow yourself to be patient with your recovery; it is the journey that counts.
We have shared the glass of salt water with many clients who are suffering from adrenal exhaustion. Each time they come back to us commenting on how this simple addition to their daily routine has changed not only their energy patterns but also their sleeping patterns.  They invariably went from low energy to improved energy; from insomnia to deep sleep. It is very important that you use only real, pure, quality salt that has been air dried.

This is a world of duality. So here are the lifestyle choices to gently let go of. Please begin to avoid:

  • Being harsh or negative with yourself.
  • Staying up past 10:00 pm
  • Caffeine, sugar, alcohol, and white flour products.
  • Foods that are refined and processed.
  • If you have blood sugar imbalances, you may be assisted by staying away from sugar and fruit juices. Might be best to eat only whole fruit (all the co-factors are present) .
  • Feeling sorry for yourself.
  • Getting overtired or exhausted.
  • Coffee, even decaf.
  • Eating sweet fruits like dates and raisins.
  • Eating starchy carbohydrates by themselves (ex. Eating bread or pastas by themselves)
  • Foods that make you feel foggy in your thinking or pull your energy down in anyway.
  • Foods you are addicted to.
  • Skipping breakfast.
  • Pushing yourself beyond your reasonable limits.
  • Situations that are high-stress.

Please know that these are guidelines to get you started. By now you have consulted with your health care professional and are actively choosing Self-Health Essentials relevant to you and your lifestyle. Remember, who else is with you 24/7?

Young Living Product Tips for Pets

In many households, a pet is a significant member of the family. Therefore, our pets’ health and well-being is a priority. Just like humans, our four-legged friends need proper hygiene, a healthy diet, and extra care when becoming ill. The health-supporting benefits of Young Living’s essential oils can considerably contribute to your pets’ quality of life.
The most effective and easiest way to keep your pet’s coat in tip-top condition is by using Animal Scents™ Shampoo. Imbued with the power of citronella, lavandin, lemon, geranium, and spikenard essential oils, our pet shampoo gently cleanses, protects, and conditions without harmful ingredients.
For those situations when your pet is contending with fleas, we have included a do-it-yourself  anti-flea spray recipe that will help you keep those pesky fleas far from your animal.
DIY ANTI-FLEA SPRAY
What you need:
16-oz. glass spray bottle (we recommend a dark amber glass spray bottle)
1 drop of Cedarwood essential oil
1 drop of Thyme essential oil
½ cup of V-6 Vegetable Oil Complex
Directions:
Add ingredients into a glass spray bottle. Shake to combine. Lightly spray on your pet when needed.
Tips for Massaging Your Pets with Essential Oils
To enhance your grooming regimen and deepen your relationship with your pet, why not add a relaxing massage to your routine?
Follow these steps for the massage:
Invite your pet to lie down.
Start by stroking the areas you already know your pet enjoys.
As your pet relaxes, start using long strokes. This will relax him/her even more.
Once your pet stretches out, you know he/she is ready for the massage.
If you would like to use V-6, then put a couple of drops on your fingertips.
Begin with the head and with circular motions, gently work your fingertips over the entire body.
Use small, soft movements with cats and small dogs and larger movements with bigger animals.
The time invested is very insignificant to the pay off. With a cat or small dog, it will only take a couple of minutes. With larger breeds, it may take 10 minutes to finish the massage.
Once your pet is completely relaxed, it is a great time to brush or comb from head to tail. Just a few minutes a couple of times a week will not only keep your pet well-groomed and happy, but you will also recognize if any mood or physical changes need to be addressed with your vet.
When using Young Living products on your pets, remember size and physiology make them more sensitive to the effects of essential oils. Here is why:
Most pets have a greater sense of smell
Cats and small dogs have a low body weight
Cats have thinner skin that allows essential oils to be easily and quickly absorbed in their bloodstream
Cats’ livers do not function like humans or dogs. Bottom-line: less is better for a cat.
As with infants and toddlers, we advise care when administrating essential oils on your pets.
We would love to hear from you. Please share your experiences and ideas about the benefits of using essential animals on your pets.

 Easy Homemade Sauerkraut
For most of my life I have not enjoyed sauerkraut.

Each time Robert would try a different recipe…I would assist him and after it was fermented take one bite then leave the batch for his lucky digestive system. You may or may not know that sauerkraut is really good for your entire body but particularly your digestive system.

One day we found sauerkraut at a Health Food Store that I really liked. I liked the taste as well as the texture. We decided to create our own version of the concoction. We decided to use our Champion juicer to grind the green cabbage into fine pieces instead of the food processor. We found that the finer pieces fermented quite easily.

So now I love sauerkraut our way. I share this recipe with you so you can bless your digestive system with a wonderfully tasty and beneficial fermented food. YUM!

     Robert and Tessa’s Easy Sauerkraut
3 heads of organic cabbage (about 5 lbs)
2-3 Tablespoons of Celtic or air-dried sea salt (or not)

Chop your organic green cabbage up so it will fit into your juicer.

Juice it.  Save the pulp.

Mix the pulp and juice and salt.
Place in a crock, covering snugly with a lid or plate that just fits inside the crock. Tamp down to pack kraut. Best to place a heavy object on cover to hold it in place. This also keeps the cabbage in the brine. Now cover the whole thing with a towel and place in an unobtrusive corner of the kitchen.

The beauty of juicing the cabbage is you have created the brine quite easily. If the cabbage is not covered by the juice (it should be) add water until the cabbage is covered; then let it ferment for 6-7 days. May take less time with this juicing step.

Mix and put into clean, glass jars with lids.
Put in refrigerator and enjoy.

We use our sauerkraut on many many many things…salads are my personal favorite. With a little organic extra virgin olive oil, the taste is quite wonderful replacing salad dressings.  You can add other vegetables, fruits, herbs or spices. I encourage you to start simply then explore your organic vegetable section of your market to personalize your sauerkraut.

Can you believe I am saying this?
Yours in Self-Health!
Tessa
PS We will be sharing some articles on the self-healthy benefits of eating fermented foods shortly!

What If Your Problems Were Really Possibilities?

by ACCESS ADMINISTRATOR on OCTOBER 15, 2013

What If Your Problems Were Really Possibilities?

What if what you had been considering your problems were really possibilities?

What if your problems were a reflection of your demand for everything you’ve always known was possible to show up?

These questions came up in Dr. Dain Heer’s recent Symphony of Being class.  While it could sound like some standard recycled positive thinking claptrap, Heer’s questions really came from a vastly different space.

Heer’s awareness started with an observation by his communications coordinator, Katarina Wallentin.  Heer recalls her saying to him, “If what you say about problems were really true for you, you’d be a really shitty facilitator.  But as you work your way through the problems, you actually birth possibilities.”

From Wallentin’s observation and some points of view expressed in his first full-length Symphony of Possibility class, Heer realized that  “What happens (for those he works with) is that the things that you look at that you think are problems are actually your doorways to possibilities.  The things that you have looked at as problems are really the things that you want to change. What you have called your problems are actually doorways to possibilities.

This is more than merely spouting an affirmation of the effect that “All my problems magically turn into possibilities now!”  It’s a realization that so many of us have been confusing ourselves by mis-identifying what we’d like to change, what we know could be more and better, as a problem.

Heer has done this himself.  He recalls, “You have no idea how many times I thought I was f***** up because I was in the middle of some twisted mess, based on my willingness to believe I had a problem, which was based on my demand that I get out of it.”

“Your belief that you have all these problems sticks you so much because you don’t, it’s a lie.  It’s not about problems.  It’s about possibilities you can’t yet find your way to choose.  You’re asking the question so you can get to the possibilities now.”

“Because you’re making the demand for something different you’re having these things called problems show up.  People who don’t want anything else don’t have any problems.”  How cool are you for being willing to have problems?

Sometimes questions and shares during classes demonstrate the same confusion.  “When someone asks about a problem, the reason it can feel strange or weird or off is that what’s really going on is that there’s a potency there that they’ve twisted into this thing they call a problem.”

If you find yourself getting angry at these speakers, it’s actually appropriate.  That’s because the one time it’s appropriate for an infinite being to get angry is when someone is lying to you.  That anger allows you to spot the lie and change it when you spot it.

The lie you’re reacting to is that the speaker has a problem.  What’s actually occurring is “there’s a potency they’re uncomfortable having or being and they don’t understand it so they twist it into a problem so they can get the clarity about the potency.”

There are no stupid questions.  If you have a question you need to ask to propel yourself into the possibilities that you are, that’s a valid question.

Heer says to those bold enough to show up in his classes, “It’s time for the people who look at you and say, ‘Why do you have so many problems?’ to be irrelevant in your life because you realize they just don’t desire anything greater.

“From now on,” Heer told the Santa Barbara class, “you don’t have problems!  What you do have is things you’d like to change so you can be the possibility you’re here to be, so you can be the instrument you’d like to play in the symphony of possibilities you’re here to be.”

“What aspect of you have you been so hesitant to meet that you don’t actually want to go to that space of potency that you be because you know that YOU are there?”

If these questions intrigue you, you might wish to consider attending Dr. Dain Heer’s live or on-line classes His Being You, Changing the World class is open to anyone with an interest and is available live and on-line.  Those who have completed the Access Consciousness® Core Classes of Access Bars®Foundation and Levels 1, 2 & 3 are invited to attend his 3.5-day Symphony of Being classes.  Information about the times and places of these classes is available on the accessconsciousness.com website as well as atdrdainheer.com.

You Can Be Happier, Even When You Are Sad!

by Access Administrator

When people die our natural reaction is to be miserable, sad and depressed. It’s what we have learned to be.  And sometimes we love all the attention that sadness and misery brings.
If we don’t fit into this reality by showing our sadness we’re judged nonstop.  If we do lots of sadness we’re made right, but actually it’s not a lot of fun!  So when ‘bad’ things show up in our lives, it doesn’t feel like there is a lot of choice.  What if there is another possibility?
Listen to Gary Douglas & Dr Dain Heer talk about how consciousness and oneness includes everything without judgment.  Even sadness!  And there are a couple of really great tools for moving past the sadness and into a different choice.  How does it get even better than that?
How does it get even better than that? The really good news is the opposite is true too… you can stop pretending to be happy when really you’d rather kill someone or curl up in a ball sobbing in the corner!
When we just be with the energies without judging ourselves or others, that soft, kind allowance of ‘what is’ becomes the start of being happier.  That’s the gift of consciousness!
What if happiness is just a choice?  What if you could make that choice? Find out more about how to have happiness as an everyday choice.
