Tessa and Robert have personally used essential oils as part of their personal “medicine cabinet” for 20+ years.”We find essentials oils are the first thing we grab for in any emergency and as a daily health essential!”
Tip—Diaper Pail
“I usually put a drop of Purification® essential oil blend on a cotton square and place it at the bottom of each trash can in the house and at the bottom of my daughter’s diaper pail. It cuts back on odors and kills germs.”
—Maryellen Slott
Tip—Fresh Bedding
“Every time I change the linens on my bed, I spray Thieves® Spray generously and evenly on the mattress and the pillows. I feel that this leaves the bedding fresh smelling and free of those tiny things we can’t see. Sometimes I will also give the sheets and pillows a quick spray when making the bed. This keeps my sleeping area fresh between changing. I just love the smell of Thieves Spray!”
—Pam
Tip—Stuck Gum
“I found a chunk of gum stuck to our hall shag carpet. It had been there for several months, dried but thoroughly stuck to the fibers. I dabbed Thieves® Household Cleaner on a cotton ball, then rubbed it on the gum and let it sit for a minute. The gum literally just lifted off the carpet. You can rub your fingers across the treated spot. There is no way to tell there ever was any gum there!”
—Kristen Grunewald
Tip—Bath Drain
“Our bath drainage unit would not stay in the open drain position and couldn’t be replaced. We used a number or chemical and mechanical options with no result. Finally I dropped a few drops of lemon essential oil on the problem area, waited a few moments, and came back. Result: The bath now drains freely once again!”
—Suz
Sweet Gift
"I’ve had the great pleasure of using essential oils in yoga classes, both as teacher and student. They make me feel like I’m receiving a sweet, intriguing gift. The aroma helps to center my mind and transports me into a sacred space, while the specific properties of the oils help to relax, inspire or energize me. I notice how the room becomes more unified, more uplifted, more present, after I share the oils.”
—Ingrid A. Marcroft
Life Force
"Using Young Living essential oils in class is almost always a transformative experience in that they have a fantastic capacity to shift the space. There is a palpable change in the energy of the room, a softening or sometimes an expansion of everyone’s life force—depending on the oil used. I’m partial to Valor® or Peace & Calming® at the end of the class or Valor, peppermint or frankincense at the beginning. The Thieves® spray is perfect for sanitizing and cleaning the air between classes."
—Stephan W. Kolbert
Tip—Double Duty
“Spray lemongrass essential oil on your children’s bed linens to keep those spiders that have hidden indoors for the winter away from their sheets. Children like the fragrance, and it gives them an aromatherapy treatment.”
—Penelope Marth
Tip—Peaceful Sleep
“After my daughter’s evening bath, I take a good-sized squirt of KidScents® Lotion with a couple drops of Peace & Calming® and rub it all over her body. She smells so good and sleeps peacefully through the night.”
—Kristi

Tip—Natural Shower
“I dislike the chemicals in the shower sprays available in most stores. But it’s Thieves® Household Cleaner to the rescue! I now dilute Thieves cleaner (according to the glass cleaner recommendation) in a spray bottle and confidently saturate my wet shower with the solution without holding my breath and racing out of the bathroom after spraying. It really works!”

What Are Essential Oils
Essential oils are the subtle, aromatic and volatile liquids extracted from the flowers, seeds, leaves, stems, bark and roots of herbs, bushes, shrubs and trees through distillation. According to ancient Egyptian hieroglyphics and Chinese manuscripts, priests and physicians were using essential oils thousands of years before Christ to heal the sick. They are the oldest form of medicine and cosmetic known to man and were considered more valuable than gold. There are hundreds of references to oils in the Bible. The wise men brought the Christ Child gold, frankincense and myrrh. (Clinical research now shows that frankincense oil contains very high immune stimulating properties.) Some of the precious oils which have been used since antiquity for anointing and healing the sick are: frankincense, myrrh, galbanum, hyssop, cassia, cinnamon and spikenard. Science is only now beginning to investigate the incredible healing substances found in essential oils.
The Frequency of Essential Oils
The effectiveness of essential oils cannot be fully understood without some discussion of frequency. Frequency is the measurable rate of electrical energy flow that is constant between any two points. Everything has frequency. Pure Essential Oils have very high frequency. Dr. Robert O. Becker in his book, The Body Electric, establishes that the human body has an electrical frequency and that much about a person’s health can be determined by ones frequency. In 1992, Bruce Tainio of Tainio Technology, an independent division of Eastern State University in Cheny Washington, built the first frequency monitor in the world. Tainio has determined that the average frequency of the human body during the day time is 62-68 Hz. (A healthy body frequency is 62-72 Hz.) When the frequency drops the immune system is compromised. If the frequency drops to 58 Hz. cold and flu symptoms appear, at 55 Hz. diseases like Candida take hold, at 52 Hz. Epstein Bar, and at 42 Hz. Cancer. According to Dr. Royal Rife every disease has a frequency. He found that certain frequencies can prevent the development of disease and that others would destroy disease. Substances with higher frequency will destroy diseases of lower frequency. The study of frequencies raises an important question concerning the frequencies of substances we eat, breath, and absorb. Many pollutants lower healthy frequency. Processed/canned food has a frequency of zero. Fresh produce has up to 15 Hz., dry herbs from 12 to 22 Hz. and fresh herbs from 20 to 27 Hz. Essential oils start at 52 Hz. and go as high as 320 Hz., the frequency of Pure Rose Oil. Clinical research shows that essential oils have the highest frequency of any natural substance known to man creating an environment in which disease, bacteria, virus, fungus etc. cannot live.
Essential Oils Are Aromatic
Essential oils are highly aromatic and therefore many of the benefits can be obtained by simply inhaling them. This can be done by breathing in the fragrance from the bottle or can be diffused into the room. Essential oils when diffused can be the best air filtration system in the world. They will: (1) Purify by removing metallic particles and toxins from the air. (2) Increase atmospheric oxygen. (3) Destroy orders from mold, cigarettes and animals. (4) Fill the air with a fresh herbal aromatic scent. (5) Increase ozone and negative ions in the house which inhibits bacteria growth.
Essential Oils Penetrate
The penetrating characteristic of essential oils greatly enhances their ability to be effective. 100% Pure, Therapeutic Grade Essential Oils will penetrate into the body when applied to the skin. Essential oil placed on the feet will be distributed to every cell in the body in 21 minutes. They will even penetrate a finger or toe nail to treat fungus underneath.

“We Share Because We Care”
A Swiss native whose study of biochemistry started her lifelong pursuit of increased health and understanding, Anna-Maya Powell is licensed in hydrotherapy and in the Heartmath System and is trained in aromatherapy, reflexology, and bio-kinesiology. This lifelong wellness enthusiast came to Young Living in 1989 as an Independent Distributor and as one of the company’s corporate trainers in 1998, when she traveled the US and Canada providing thousands of people with the benefits of Young Living Essential Oils. And though Anna-Maya has always been guided by her entrepreneurial spirit, it has only been recently that she has started focusing on the business aspects of Young Living. Now, the company’s newest Platinum, Anna-Maya has her sights set on reaching Crown Diamond—and is well on her way to accomplishing her goal and continuing to help countless others along the way.
Dream Becomes Reality
Before being introduced to Young Living in 1989 by Eldon Knittle, Anna-Maya had a dream where a man handed her a key. That evening she accompanied Eldon to a presentation by Young Living Founder and President, Gary Young. Anna-Maya says, “When Gary started to talk about how to formulate like nature does and talked about the life force and power of essential oils I knew I had found the key I had been given in my dream. I walked out of there with the knowledge I had been seeking.” And about her decision to join Young Living Anna-Maya adds, “It was Gary’s example and amazing drive that attracted me.”
Growing Business
Initially, Anna-Maya’s focus was on her personal health, not building her own business. But once she started using Young Living essential oils she says, “I felt different and looked different. I was 36 and my skin cleared and I became vibrant and my business just started.” Anna-Maya says that people wanted to know what she was using and when she told them about Young Living they wanted to join too—and for many years she continued to build her business with the people she attracted. It wasn’t until three or four years ago that Anna-Maya says she decided to build her business smarter and has been amazed at how her business has grown.
Building Smarter
Anna-Maya says that she when she changed her method of teaching to a model of listening and asking questions to understand people’s needs, she saw incredible results. “Instead of people being intimidated by thinking they had to know everything,” she says, “People now say ‘I can do that.’ It’s a big difference.”
From the start, Anna-Maya explains that Young Living is the world leader in essential oils and asks people if they think that the highest quality natural substances could make a difference in their lives. Then, Anna-Maya says, she listens, stays focused on answering questions with short answers addressing people’s needs, and finishes with a question. This way, she explains, you prove to people that they are the most important thing and create a feeling that you are a friend who has their well-being in mind.
Helping Others Grow
As a general rule Anna-Maya asks new distributors to write down an emotionally charged dream or need. She has people create their own personal strategy and create tasks that can be completed within one or two weeks. She also advised them to gain and write down personal experiences that others can relate to. “If you tell a story about overcoming a big sickness, it may sound unbelievable and if the person doesn’t have that sickness, the person might say they don’t need Young Living,” she says, “But low energy, wrinkles, emotional overcoming—these are the kind of things everyone can identify with.”
Anna-Maya is also quick to acknowledge that signing up new distributors is only the first step. She says that following up properly with monthly product information through a newsletter or other communication method is imperative. Anna-Maya’s organization has an online newsletter and she also sends part of her organization a physical mailer as well. “The volume goes up noticeably a few days after sending newsletters,” she adds.
Anna-Maya Today
Anna-Maya starts each new day by getting inspired through listening to a positive tape, writing, reading, and using a favorite essential oil. Then, if she’s not traveling, she spends 30 to 40 hours a week supporting her existing teams and working on new prospects. “Since most all of my working members are out of town, I am on the phone coaching or calling to tell them that we appreciate them or I am on the computer,” she says.
Grateful for Nancy and Eldon Knittle—her supportive upline—and her “most amazing” downline, Anna-Maya knows that Young Living is here to stay. “Young Living is so unique,” she says, “You can live your passion no matter what.”
Anna-Maya is especially appreciative of the hard work of Gary and Mary Young and also gives special thanks to her first husband, Jorn Eisvanj, who never let her give up, and her current husband, Jim Powell, who is a keen business partner.
Anna-Maya Recommends
Ningxia Red®, Power Meal™, Balance Complete™, True Source™, and Super Cal™ are products Anna-Maya uses daily. Other products, such as Multigreens™, K&B™, and Rehemogen™ she takes in cycles as needed. When traveling, Anna-Maya says she loves Exodus™ and Thyromin™ for immune protection and energy boosts. Anna-Maya also starts each day inhaling Magnify Your Purpose™ essential oil blend and has many other favorites including Thieves®, Dream Catcher™, Inner Child™, and Valor®.

The Following is Part 2 from the Diamond Leader, Debra Raybern.
With the economy of the world today, what better time is there than to consider
a home based business. Young Living gives us that opportunity.
Debra gives you her story and her take on building her Young Living business.
Tessa Brauer is a Young Living Distributor 48482
What’s in Store for You in 2012 – Part 2 – Purpose and Abundance
What is in store for you in the year ahead? The same old thing – sick, tired, broke, busted? Or have you planned and purposed to make some changes, make a difference in your life and others, and soar like an eagle. Are you smiling, serving, and sharing?
The current economy may or may not have affected you in a negative way. You may not have any income loss or then again you may still be in recovery mode form a lost job. Economist tells us that about every ten years we have some kind of recession in America. So even if this go-round, your life remained pretty good, will you fair so well in 2020? You can take action now to place yourself in a better position should any type of economic downturn, governmental changes, or personal issues put pressure on your family.
I was at a crossroads in my life nine years ago. After the sudden and unexpected death of my husband (aortic aneurysm from his Vietnam service exposure to Agent Orange) my daughter and I were left without sufficient income and a huge debt burden. I knew change was going to come in our lives in many ways. Having been a user of the Young Living products for two years and with a handful of people using them under me, I dismissed the possibilities that Young Living could provide – outside of health issues — and went to work with three part time jobs, all while homeschooling my daughter.
After three years of 14 hour work days six days per week I was exhausted, the bills were getting paid, but the light at the end of the tunnel was still far off. Then I made a phone call to one of my upline Richard Dastrup (Sha-faun Enterprises). Rich had spoken with both me and my husband before about the business side of YL but now, what I really, really needed to know was – will this really work well enough to support us. Now I have read Rich and Shauna’s testimony with YL many times and I knew what a difference it had made in their lives – but you know how that goes – Oh that worked for them but not for me. Well why not me?
I had nothing to lose by sharing the fabulous products and how they had enriched our lives, so why not give it a shot. My consultation business was rewarding, but required a lot of my time. I was trading time for dollars and the overhead, inventory, etc is quite costly, and the demands left me with little time to spend with family.
So armed with the decision to work the business, and not just let it grow on its own (which was like watching paint dry – not all that exciting and hadn’t worked so far), I made the decision to put forth a concentrated amount of energy and set aside a specific amount of time each week JUST for my YL business. In less than two months of holding meetings in people’s homes, the returns were apparent and now after six short years (Oct 14, 2005 was my first YL oils meeting) I have reached the level of Diamond and my consulting business is now the part time project. I’m not finished yet, I still have one more levels to go and getting there means I get to bring people with me. In Young Living you don’t do things alone, you’re a team; and my team is amazing.
I am also able to impact more people through YL than I could ever dream of with personal consultations. The doors my association with YL has opened to me are enormous, (two books Gentle Babies and Nutrition 101: Choose Life! would never have happened), the perks are amazing, (Free exotic vacations and getaways), the friendships cultivated over the years is priceless, my income is more than enough and yes we are debt free. Not a day goes by without my heartfelt gratitude for all those in my YL family and to my Lord Jesus for His abundant favor on my life.
Follow your heart, your passion, your instinct. Sometimes it will mean stepping out in faith. (It did for me and I will say I used a lot of prayer, Abundance and Valor in those days – still do). With the integrity of the company, the products, our leaders and the needs of the people around us for wellness, purpose and abundance, you will be as successful in Young Living as you desire. Don’t quit, it has taken me twelve years to get to this level –stay focused, keep learning and keep sharing. It has taken me nearly ten years to get to this level – if only I had listened earlier. Don’t wait – today can be the day you begin your Young Living journey!
You may be able to use your current business to spread the word about YL all around the globe. The foundation you set now will allow you to build a skyscraper of a business, which in Young Living we call Diamond and Crown Diamond. Then when you choose to retire (50, 60, 70) your residual income will greatly outpace your 401K and the thousands of people you will have touched will be a reward without measure.
I love the blessings my YL business has given to me and I feel like I am just getting started! My goal for 2012? To support those in my group with the vision to change their lives and the lives of others through the Young Living products so they may each become Silver, Gold, Platinum and beyond. What is your goal? December is a great month to look over the year – what was great about it, what was successful and what needs improving. Write down your goals and the plan to make them reality.
Just maybe 2012 will be your time to shine, I know it’s mine!
Debra’s Eight Rules for Success
1. Use the products daily. When you see for yourself the amazing benefits of using the products on a daily basis, your physical and emotional health will improve. Others will ask you what you are doing and that will give you an opportunity to share the message of Young Living.
2. Sign up for Essential Rewards. Essential Rewards makes it easy to have a fresh supply of your family’s favorite products and the ability to try new things monthly. Plus, you’re earning points for free products.
3. Learn. Learn as much as you can about Young Living’s products and the business by reading the many support books, brochures and third party literature, attending classes, Young Living corporate events (especially convention), listening to the audio recordings, and going to meetings. We have so many opportunities to learn!
4. Share and build seriously. Take your business seriously. Set hours that you will work the business. Be ready to share your experiences when the opportunity arises. Have a sharing package that includes samples of Young Living products. If I could carve out the time, so can you.
5. Get your members involved in what you do. Have fellow distributors share a testimony at a workshop. When I am asked to speak at conventions and expos, I always take budding Silvers and teach them how to share with strangers and help them build their group. Can’t stand up and speak to a crowd – then sit down at the kitchen table with two or three people instead.
6. Ask your new members if they want to build a business. Some people will be so concentrated on the product benefits that they aren’t interested in building a business right away. Share this opportunity with them a few months after joining as well.
7. Support and communicate. Use classes, newsletters, e-mails, or phone calls to stay in touch with your organization and help them be successful. Share of yourself, your time, and your talents.
8. Be diligent, be persistent, be grateful. When you see how much you have been blessed though Young Living, pass it on!
I HOPE that you will have the best year ever in 2012, filled with ABUNDANCE, JOY, GRATITUDE, HARMONY and that you LIVE WITH PASSION, and ENVISION a bright future for you and your family.
May God richly bless you in 2012!

What’s in Store for You in 2012 – Part 1 Wellness
Tessa Brauer is a Young Living Distributor 48482
How is your health right now? Are you full of energy, no health issues, living life to the full; or are you sickly, tired, have a nagging health concern that eludes you? Why not make 2012 your year to get back on top, energized, set free from physical and emotional baggage that has been weighing you down.
As always when a year comes to an end I receive many email testimonies of how the health and nutrition information I share, the Young Living products and have seen them change people’s lives. We’re talking both minor and some very serious health issues.
These people all made changes in their diet, began using the Young Living products daily and made appropriate lifestyle changes and achieved success. You can also. Here are some steps you can take in 2012 to be at your healthy best:
1. Eat nutritious healthy foods. Nothing radical may be needed, just get rid of the high acid, nutrient void junk, sodas, and mega sugar foods. We also know that the YL essential oils and supplements work best when your nutrition is improved.
2. Get the chemicals out of your life, your home and office. Use the Young Living Thieves Household cleaner, the bath soaps, lotions, shampoos, etc for chemical free living. De-toxify the body with the YL 5 Day Nutritive Diet or some of the many other YL nutritional products created to bring the body back into balance.
3. Smile – get happy. Deal with your emotional baggage. There are several great resources that utilize the YL emotional oils to help you overcome the past and be excited about your future. We all have those issues in life that need addressing, some will even take a while to completely overcome and others you may need to work on the rest of your life, that’s ok, just get started. The Young Living Emotional oils will enhance the quality of your life more than you may think.
4. Exercise – get up off the couch – walk, ride, run – do something that will exercise the muscles, the heart; that can improve circulation, mental clarity even your mood. There are no lack of choices, pick one and get started.
5. Use the many Young Living products on a daily basis. Learn from the Essential Oils Desk Reference book(www.lifesciencepublishing.com) which oils will support your body and be prepared for life’s little emergencies. (I have never seen in all my years of helping people a product line so effective at helping people regain their health, and I have seen and used most everything out there).
6. Relationships – pause and take a look at your relationships – are they healthy, supportive and nurturing. Are you spending time with your Heavenly Father daily? Does your spouse, children and extended family get your attention?
7. YOU – do you make time to stop and smell the roses? Are you serving and sharing with others? Do you take time to make sure YOU are taken care of? Make it a point next year to do something for you everyday. Then you will be more ready to serve others. How about getting a Raindrop technique or massage with the Young Living essential oils.
8. Simplify your life. Get rid of the clutter, the things you haven’t used in a couple years, the clothes that no longer fit. Bless someone else with the things that no longer serve you that will be a big blessing for them. In a world of keeping up with the Jones’s, bigger houses, fancier cares, the latest fashion – make sure the things you enjoy in life – really do bring enjoyment and not a burden.
9. Count your blessings – be grateful. We all have much to be grateful for. Smell the YL oil blend Gratitude and write down four things you are grateful for each evening (no repeats allowed) and watch your life transform.
10. Share – Share what you know, and what you have with those around you. Share Young Living’s wellness, purpose and abundance. The world needs Young Living, even more today than 20 years ago when it began.
Life’s too short to live any other way but at its fullest. I feel a great sense of gratitude and honor being part of Young Living. The privilege and responsibility I have to help others change their lives and the blessings I have received in return are incredible. Just like anything else in life, you can turn a lemon into lemonade. Use 2012 to change your health, your family’s health, your friend’s health. If we all do our part, who knows, by 2020 many of the health issues our world now faces, can be a thing of the past.
Share what you know, learn what you don’t, serve with a smile.
Stay tuned for part two as we talk about another aspect of our lives – purpose and abundance.

Essential Oils
Tessa Brauer is a Young Living Distributor 48482
Essential oils, known as nature’s living energy, are the natural, aromatic volatile liquids found in shrubs, flowers, trees, roots, bushes, and seeds. The distinctive components in essential oils defend plants against insects, environmental conditions, and disease. They are also vital for a plant to grow, live, evolve, and adapt to its surroundings. Essential oils are extracted from aromatic plant sources via steam distillation, and are highly concentrated and far more potent than dry herbs.
While essential oils often have a pleasant aroma, their chemical makeup is complex and their benefits vast—which makes them much more than something that simply smells good.
Historically, essential oils have played a prominent role in everyday life. With more than 200 references to aromatics, incense, and ointments throughout the Bible, essential oils are said to be used for anointing and healing the sick. Today, essential oils are used foraromatherapy, massage therapy, emotional health, personal care, nutritional supplements, household solutions, and much more.
Young Living Essential Oils, the leading provider of essential oils, offers more than 300 essential oil singles and blends. All Young Living essential oils meet the YLTG standard. This means that every essential oil Young Living distills or sources has the optimal naturally-occurring blend of constituents to maximize the desired effect. Only YLTG essential oils should be used for the primary methods of application, which includeinhalation and application.

Raise Your Immunity Frequency With Essential Oils to Beat the Common Cold

This article is from Natural News
March 23, 2008 by: Teya Skae
Enjoy!
The humble cold is one of the most common illnesses, leading to more doctor visits and absences from school and the workforce than any other illness every year. So what causes you to catch colds? Technically you do not "catch" colds but, rather, become infected with a cold/flu bacteria or virus.
Whether you come down with a cold is due to the fact of whether your immune system is working at its best to ward off invaders. When we function at our optimal level, our immune system – which protects us from invading bacteria and other micro-organisms – can cope. However, when we are stressed our immune system is greatly challenged and that is when we spiral downwards because our healthy body frequency range is lowered, allowing the invading microbes to take over our system.
What is meant by Healthy Frequency Range?
Frequency is a measurable rate of electrical energy that is constant between any two points. Every living thing has a frequency, including our brain and our bodies. Electrical frequency is measured in hertz (Hz), kilohertz (kHz), and megahertz (MHz). The average frequency of a healthy human body is between 62 – 78 Hz.
How is all of this known?
In 1992, Bruce Tainio of Tainio Technology, a division of Eastern Washington State University, developed new equipment to measure electrical frequency in humans and foods. This equipment was used in a research study at Johns Hopkins University to determine the relationships between frequency and diseases. Tainio found the average frequency of a human body is between 62 – 78 Hz, the upper body being between 70 – 78 Hz and the lower from 62 – 70Hz..
Further support for these findings is given by Dr. Robert O. Becker M.D. in his book, The Body Electric, who also explains that a person’s health can be determined by the frequency of the person’s body.
Another doctor and scientist, whose research has been buried for some time but has managed to resurface due to the work of avid supporters, is Dr. Royal Raymond Rife M.D. who developed a frequency generator in the late 1920′s. In brief, Rife successfully treated 1,000 patients diagnosed with incurable cancer in the 1930′s. He was honoured with 14 awards and an honorary doctorate. After the unsuccessful attempt by pharmaceutical companies to buy out his research and equipment, his office was ransacked, his research paperwork was stolen and the machine that healed all those 1,000 "incurable" cancer patients was destroyed.
In 1934, before this destruction occurred, the University of Southern California appointed a Special Medical Research Committee to bring terminal cancer patients from Pasadena County Hospital to Rife’s San Diego Laboratory and clinic for treatment. The team included doctors and pathologists assigned to examine the patients – if still alive – in 90 days.
After the 90 days of treatment, the Committee concluded that 86.5% of the patients had been completely cured. The treatment was then adjusted and the remaining 13.5% of the patients also responded within the next four weeks. The total recovery rate using Rife’s technology was 100%, (http://www.rife.org) .
What Rife had developed was a 100% effective cure for many forms of cancer. So why do we not know about this and why are there so many cancer research foundations in existence? Put simply, it is due to the economic motives of the orthodox medical community, which relies on funding for cancer research – such funding often coming from pharmaceutical companies – and whose fortunes would be damaged if a cure for cancer was found. (That is, it’s OK to search for a cure but not really find one!)
"In every culture and in every medical tradition before ours, healing was accomplished by moving energy." – Albert Szent-Gyorgyi, Nobel Laureate in Medicine (1937)
What Rife proved is that every health disorder has a frequency, which in turn responds (resonates) to a specific (optimal) frequency for its dissolving/healing in the body. People who maintain their optimal frequency, at least of their immune system, would prevent development of symptoms and illnesses associated with the common cold. Of course, in practise this does not work for most of us because, being human, we experience stress and emotional challenges on a daily basis, which lower our body’s frequency. Hence, we need to raise our body frequency regularly/daily with the right substances that are compatible at the cellular and energetic level of our being, rather than wait until our body frequency has dropped so low that it becomes a friendly host for microscopic invaders.
How can this be proven?
According to a report (Epidemiology, May 2001; 11:345-349), psychological stress – particularly the chronic type that may accompany a personality with a negative outlook – is a risk factor for contracting colds. An optimistic outlook and outgoing personality seemed to protect individuals, researchers found.
The findings indicate that high levels of psychological stress are closely associated with contracting the common cold. While the common cold is rarely a serious health hazard, it is responsible for about 30 million days of lost work in the U.S. alone each year.
To investigate whether stress increased the likelihood of developing a cold, the researchers surveyed more than 1,100 Spanish university staff and students at regular intervals over a one year period. The study focused on different types of stress, including stress from life events, perceived stress, having a generally negative outlook, anxious or compulsive personality, compared with having a positive outlook/attitude to life.
Individuals with a negative outlook were at greatest risk of developing colds – regardless of their intake of vitamin C and zinc or their smoking and drinking habits.
The next highest-risk individuals were those who believed that they were under stress. These people were nearly three times as likely to develop a cold, according to the report.
Why should Antibiotics be avoided?
Colds can be contracted as the result of contact with more than 200 different viruses. However, among all of the cold viruses, the rhinovirus and the coronavirus cause the majority of colds. Each time you have a cold, it is caused by a distinct virus – e.g. adenovirus, rhinovirus, parainfluenza virus, and coronavirus. Viruses are much smaller than bacteria. They are tiny clusters of genetic material surrounded by a protein ‘wrapper’.
Medical science currently does not have any drugs that can kill these viruses. Antibiotics, including penicillin, do not have any effect on viruses. They are only used to treat secondary bacterial infections that can further complicate the effects of a cold.
How Are Colds Actually Contracted?
The most common source of infection is not from coughing or sneezing, or walking barefoot in the rain, but from hand-to-hand contact. That is why, when you have a cold, washing your hands frequently is very important. The likelihood of contracting the cold virus increases, however, if one is overtired and physically exhausted.
Most uncomplicated colds last eight to nine days; about 25% last two weeks; and 5-10% last three weeks.
As long as one’s temperature remains below 38.8 degrees Celsius, there is no need to lower it. Cold viruses do not reproduce at higher body temperatures. In fact, a slight fever should help us get rid of the virus quicker and feel better much sooner. It is our body’s own way of ridding itself of toxins.
Why are Aspirin and Tylenol counterproductive?
A study (J Infect Dis, Dec 1990; 162(6):1277-82) showed that people who take aspirin and Tylenol (acetaminophen) suppress their body’s ability to produce antibodies that destroy the cold virus. This actually causes the body to take longer to fight the cold and it accounts for any secondary infections and post-nasal drip.
What Can Be Done to Prevent Getting the Common Cold?
While orthodox medicine does not have the answer for colds and ‘flu’, nature does – it comes in the form of pure organic unadulterated Therapeutic Essential Oils. Why? Because they are made up of very high frequency molecules (ranging from 52MHz to 320MHz) and contain nature’s wisdom and power to raise the body’s frequency and to assist our immune system in fighting viral invasions.
For greater clarity, organic Therapeutic Essential Oils are not the same as everyday aromatherapy oils, which are produced for fragrance and other purposes.
We now know that, in order to prevent colds, we need our immune system to be working in top gear and our overall body frequency to be in its optimal range. Our optimal range of body frequency can be lowered by negative thoughts/emotions, stress, blood chemistry imbalance, and ingested chemicals, which allow us to contract colds and viruses in the first place. Research has found that the high frequency of essential oils creates an environment where bacteria, fungi and viruses cannot survive. Essential oils provide a high frequency environment for the body.
Researchers have found that some essential oils – oregano, thyme and rosewood oils, in particular – create an autolytic (destruction of cells and tissues by enzymes produced by the cells, themselves) reaction in organisms, including streptococcus pneumonia. Dr. Diane Horne of Weber State University in Ogden, Utah, told the 98th general assembly of the American Society of Microbiology about the serendipitous discovery of the impact of essential oils on cells such as streptococcus pneumonia (bacteria that causes a very serious type of pneumonia in children with sickle cell disease).
.jpg)
When Dr. Horne’s co-researcher was spraying aromatic oils in the laboratory, Dr. Horne looked at the streptococcus pneumonia bacteria that she was preparing for another experiment and noticed that its cells were literally falling apart. Dr. Horne and co-worker Sue Chao, of the Young Living Essential Oils Company of Payton, Utah, tested the autolyzing properties of 74 essential oils and discovered that the best results occurred with oregano, thyme and rosewood and that intermediate inhibition of the pathogens was achieved with cinnamon oil and clove oil. Dr. Horne pointed out that the oils also proved to be a powerful remedy against E. coli (a bacterium and virus in one) and several species of fungi.
What these tests revealed is that essential oils, such as oregano, clove, cinnamon, rosewood and rosemary, are so powerful that viruses and bacteria cannot survive in their presence. That is, the viruses and bacteria are destroyed when they come into contact with these therapeutic essential oils.
Dr. Horne and the Young Living Essential Oils company are not the only ones who now use therapeutic essential oils for destroying viruses and bacteria. Up until a decade ago, France was the forerunner of medical aromatherapy, where essential oils are encapsulated and prescribed to be taken orally or as suppositories by the patient.
French aromatherapy doctors employ the aromatogram, where a sample is taken from the infected area of the patient, cultivated in a laboratory, and then subjected to various essential oils to find the most effective oil to treat the infection for the specific patient.
They have found that different oil combinations work better when the oil combination is specifically blended for a patient. Even if various patients suffer from the same strain of bacteria, some oils seem to work better on certain people than on others.
While this is an over-simplification of the serious medicinal aspects of aromatherapy, it is helpful, nevertheless, in demonstrating the effectiveness of therapeutic essential oils in the medical arena.
In this particular field of essential oil therapy, there are some prominent medical doctors, such as Dr. Lapraz and Dr. Duraffourd of Paris, who have undertaken thousands of clinical trials to determine the effectiveness of essential oils in medical applications.
How Do Essential Oils Exert Such Powerful Effects In Our Bodies
Chemically, essential oils’ cell structure is very similar to the human cell structure. The essential oil of a plant and the human blood share several common properties.
The 4 primary elements in both human beings and essential oils:
* Plant Cells – carbon hydrogen nitrogen oxygen
* Human Cells – carbon hydrogen nitrogen oxygen
This shared chemistry makes essential oils one of the most compatible of all plant substances with human biochemistry. In addition, essential oils have a protein-like structure that is similar to that found in human cells and tissues, which allows the human protein cell structure to readily identify and accept the chemical constituents (powerful healing properties) of essential oils.
Essential oils have been proven to fight infection, improve the immune system and, because they contain hormone-like compounds, are very effective in initiating cellular/tissue regeneration. Why do they do this? Simply, because it is their job; because Mother Nature intended them to do so in order to protect the plants, themselves. Let’s examine how…
Working as the chemical defence mechanism of the plant, essential oils possess potent antibacterial, anti-fungal, and antiviral properties. Essential oils are the plant liquid containing the Life Force of a plant. Analogous with the human body, essential oils are the blood plasma of a plant. They are volatile liquids distilled from various parts of plants, including seeds, bark, leaves, stems, roots, flowers and fruit (essential oils are sensitive to heat and should not be burned, as that destroys their therapeutic properties).
If a leaf or any part of a plant has been cut or damaged for some reason, the plant releases a liquid substance that protects it from further damage from microbes, bacteria, and viruses, and helps the plant to regenerate itself. This liquid is the essential oil that helps the plant to survive, which is why essential oils are called essential. Put simply, without it, the plant can’t survive. This same principle works in a very similar way in the human body, due to the fact that essential oils can permeate our tissues by being so highly compatible with our cell structure. How can this be possible?
It is possible because essential oils are complex substances, each containing 80 – 300 compounds of different chemical constituents, and all these compounds work synergistically. Hence, nature’s wisdom is encoded in the life force of a plant. Because essential oils are the life force of a plant, they need to be treated with the utmost professional respect and understating in order to retain their powerful healing properties.
So, how therapeutic are they?.jpg)
Just follow your nose! The smell of the oil reveals how pure and potent it is. For example, when inhaling any oil – particularly peppermint, lavender or rosemary – the smell should linger on in the brain and have a very fresh smell. If it has a very sharp tinge to it or causes a sudden sharp sensation in the any part of the head, it contains chemicals which are ‘playing’ with the neurotransmitters and receptor sites in your brain. It also helps if you ask the company where and how they distill the oils and what chemicals are used. Many essential oil companies still use solvents in the process of distillation. You can tell by the smell. Why do they do it? Because distillation is a very expensive process, which requires time, care and integrity.
A brief look at some essential oils and the results of research so far:
Oregano is very aggressive against all microbes and it helps with digestive problems and is anti-inflammatory. Oregano and cinnamon tested at 95% efficiency against candida, E. coli and streptococcus strains.
Thyme oil is very powerful oil on viruses and has demonstrated protective properties for liver, kidneys and the heart due to its very high antioxidant properties.
Fennel oil, strengthens digestion, expels parasites and supports and raises overall metabolism.
Fennel and Juniper together exert a warming effect on the kidneys; very helpful during winter.
Cinnamon is 99.9% effective against all viruses. Ebola virus cannot survive in the presence of pure unadulterated cinnamon.
Rosemary is effective for parasites, fungi and, therefore, candida.
Clove is highly protective, and is the most powerful antioxidant in nature.
In summary, orthodox medicine has no cure for the common cold and the latest mainstream advice for preventing colds comes from studies on stress, stating to just avoid stress. This is neither possible nor realistic for the majority of the population as stress is always there in some way, emotional or just the demands of the 21st century. Extensive scientific research has proven that essential oils are quite capable of fighting the common cold because they are anti-viral, anti-bacterial, anti-fungal, anti-parasitic and anti-inflammatory.
Using Grade-A organic therapeutic essential oils may help your immune system to ward off the attacks of the common cold as well as destroy other microbial invasions, such as candida infections, viruses and parasites. As essential oils are very high frequency molecules, ranging from 52MHz – 320MHz, they are able to raise our overall body frequency (which is 62-78 Hz when in its healthy range) every time we use them. This way, essential oils are the best ammunition against the common cold as well as destroying unwelcome microbial invasions, along with the daily dose of genuine positive thinking.

The Gift of Frankincense – November 2011
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Michelle shared this a while back on her father and Frankincense…..Thanks Michelle!
….I also want to share about my Dad. I’ve mentioned before how he has used Frankincense for his lung congestion(COPD) and then he tried it on the top of his ears for what he thought to be skin cancer and that is gone—-well, last night he shared that he been trying it on his middle finger knuckle had a pea size knot that really stuck out and was sore. The knot is smaller and has softened. It’s so fun watching him use his Frankincense for different little things. He is on his third bottle and finding that it works for a lot of things…………
